I was honored to be invited as a guest speaker at Epic Games’ online session, “How to Become a Unreal Authorized Instructor (UAI)”, where I had the opportunity to share my journey and experiences with the global Unreal Engine education community. Having spent the past four years as a Unreal Authorized Instructor, it was a meaningful moment to reflect on the path, the challenges, and the opportunities that come with teaching Unreal Engine at an official level.

During the session, I addressed three of the most common questions I’ve received from educators and professionals interested in the UAI pathway: how my journey as a UAI began, some of the most memorable and impactful experiences along the way, and the type of work I do as an Unreal Authorized Instructor—spanning education, training, and real‑world applications across industries. The discussion aimed to provide a practical and transparent look at what it means to be part of the UAI program and how it has shaped my approach to teaching and collaboration.

The event also highlighted the broader Unreal Authorized Instructor program, which equips qualified educators to deliver world‑class Unreal Engine training. As interactive 3D continues to grow across games, film, architecture, and real‑time applications, the need for skilled instructors is greater than ever. Attendees gained insight into the benefits of becoming a UAI, including access to specialized tools and learning materials, community platforms, and expanded professional opportunities, as well as tips on preparing for the certification process and showcasing one’s instructional strengths.
It was rewarding to engage with educators and creators who are passionate about Unreal Engine and curious about the path to becoming a UAI. Events like this reinforce the importance of sharing knowledge and supporting one another as we collectively raise the standard of real‑time education worldwide.
